Another New Truck?
Praise God for His answered prayers. We have struggled for many years with vehicles that have constantly needed mechanical attention. A great deal of our financial resources have been expended to keep these vehicles running. God provided the funds for a new Toyota that has recently arrived. He has also provided the funds for a new Ford that we trust will arrive in the near future.
Bill Moses is one of our supporters in Texas as well as my father. He has been in the wholesale used car business for many years. He put out the word that we needed a new Ford 4-door, 4 wheel drive, diesel vehicle to several people that he does business. Last night, July 25th, 2007 I received a call from Dad telling me about a Ford truck fitting the description of what we are needing here. After several conversations with Dan Shoemaker, who was driving in the Carolina's as mountains and loosing cell signals we decided that this was the truck for us. It will take some time to get it to Haiti, and then some more time to get it past the Haitian Customs song and dance, BUT IT IS COMING.
Many years ago Deb Shoemaker related serving in Haiti to being on a lonesome prairie with no one to help with the ministry here in Haiti. Then one day a wagon appeared on the horizon and along with it appeared hope. I feel as if a new wagon has appeared on the horizon in the form of this new Ford pickup. Please pray that it arrives in a timely manner for the much needed help of handling teams.
Again, praise God for his provision!
