We have officially cancelled the Missionary Ladies’ Retreat. This means that the speaker and the gals who were coming with her as well as I (Debbie) will not be going. There are reports that the Haitian White House and Ministry of Commerce building is damaged. Parts of the mountains around the Carrefour area have slid down. The Haitian president is safe. There is concern about the airport’s runway being damage. It is a catastrophic event.
Dan and Kim may still try to go in on Thursday to access the situation to see how RMI can help. Hopefully the team that is there will be able to get out as planned on Friday. We will be working on that tomorrow once daylight reveals what has really happened. We’ll keep posting updates!
