Clean Water in Cherette

A well has been dug in Cherette.  It will give them fresh, clean water in abundant supply.  And its thanks to a generous gift from their Sister Church, Estero UMC in Estero, Florida.

Building a well in Haiti is a lot like building a well in the US.

You need a well drilling rig SAM_0933

a space big enough to situate the truck SAM_0911

lots of man power  SAM_0889

and electricity.

Here’s what digging a well looks like in Cherette, Haiti. SAM_0900

Wow, we take water for granted. I've seen some of the water in Haiti. I'd rather line up at this pump.
