Activities in Boyer- Spring 2011

Lots of activity is happening in the Boyer Church!  Pastor Sony gave us this report about the churches activities.  Remember to pray for those who are recently accepted Christ, that God will work in their hearts and lives and protect them from the enemies attacks. Also continue to pray for the Boyer Church and all of the churches within its district.

Between the months of February and March nineteen people accepted Christ as their Savior and in April another five people become Christians.  We also had a church wide conference in the month of April.  This month we had a day of recreational activity for the church members and we also had some evangelistic activities and had a singing group from the church, called Soul Search, participate. There will also be a district wide evangelistic conference coming up within the next month.

Each month, the deacons and members from all the church have a large meeting where they discuss the activities of all the churches. Every month they meet at a different church in the district.

We ask that you would pray that we will be able to finish building the gate in the church yard, for the construction of two churches in the district, and that those who do not know Jesus would come to know him.

Activities in Les Anglais- Months of April/May

Pastor Bonel Gerard gave us this report of the activities in the Les Anglais Church.  Keep Pastor Bonel, his family and the church in your prayers as they continue in their service to the Lord.

The Church had a conference April 17-24 titled “You Are Valuable to God” based on First Corinthians 6:20, “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s”.  We also had some weddings in the church during the month of April.  We had a party for the ladies of the church this month as well as a party for the teachers on May 17th.  We had a day of activities for all the youth in the district which took place at the Chadonye Church. The Pastor and some of the Deacons visited the Cayan Church during the month.

The church activities are going well; we have a prayer service in each of the churches within the district and we have an evangelization campaign we are attempting to do but because of all the rain it has been hard to make it happen.

We have outgrown the church and we are beginning to make plans to start building a bigger building.  At the same time we need four additional classrooms.

Please pray for the construction of our church: Pray for the students who are going to take the primary final exam in June: Pray for the last period of the scholarly year to end well:  Pray that the Pastor might be able to get a motorcycle: Pray for RMI.

Activities in Chambellan- Month of May

Pastor Jean Benoit gives this report for the upcoming activities in the church.  Please take time to pray for the events and activities as they happen.  It’s a great way to stay involved in the life of your Sister Church all year round!

May 22-28 we are go ing to have a church wide conference , and on the 19th we will the end the conference with a concert.

May 20th all of the deacons in the district well meet in Chambellan for a seminar on the responsibilities they have within the local church and within their families.

We continue to work on repairing and building in the church.

Every week we have four services; Sunday morning service and night, Tuesday night, and Thursday night bible study. The ladies of the church also meet each Saturday morning.

This is our request prayer to you: please pray that God visit us as his church everyday.  Pray for the projects we are working on; for many of them we don’t yet have the money to complete the projects.  Pray pray for the spiritual life of the members of the church, for our youth that they stay in Jesus, and for some of our kids that are unable to go to school, that they will be able to go.

Activities in Port-a-Piment/Activities for April/May

Pastor Yvon Vertu gave this report of the recent the upcoming activities of the Port-a-Piment Church so that you can keep their activities in your prayers.

We just want to share with you a little bit of what happening in our church with each month.

This month we are going to have a conference, a special service with the members and some people in the church are going to get baptized.

There was a seminar for all the Pastor’s wives at Cite Lumiere in Cayes on April 17th.

We are planning to re-cover the top of the Guillaume Church.  We will also be sending a new Pastor the Church at Zoren.

The church is getting along very well thanks to God; the school is working very fine too.  We are going to have training for the youth, a party for mothers day, which is the 16th of May, and the students are going to organize a party for Teacher’s Day may 17th.

We ask that you would pray for the Christians to be zealous in the Lord’s work, for our construction projects, and for Pastor and Madame Pastor to receive their travel papers from the Embassy.

Activities in Port Salut- Month of April/May

Pastor Jean Edert Pierre shared this report on the recent and upcoming activities in the Port Salut Church.  Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they continue to serve the Lord.

April 18th to 26th we had an Easter Conference in our church and we showed the film, The Passion of the Christ”.  During the week of Easter we had a prayer service every day at 5am.

The church really enjoyed the Annual Convention and we sent the ladies group to sing some special music for one of the services.  The week after convention we had a seminar for all the ladies of the church.   Madame Pastor Edert, a pastor’s wife from another district, was present and she is going to take the information back to her church and do the same seminar for the ladies of her district.

All the churches in the district meet every 3 months to plan for church activities, to strengthen relationships and to help one another with projects.  We meet in a different church each time so that we can help and encourage one another.  The next meeting is planned for May 23 and we will meet in the Kapantye Church.

Thanks to God everything is going well in the church and in the school.  For the month of May, we do not plan children’s activities because of the rain.  It makes it difficult for the children to come so the last Sunday in May the we dedicate the service to the children and call the service, “Children’s Day”. The children are responsible to take part in the music for service.

We are also making plans to start a Professional School here in the area as a place the youth can come and further their education.

We go forward in our plans but, thanks to God we are making a lot of progress.

Please pray that the mission continue to grow for the gospel of the Lord. Also pray for construction of the church Parsonage.

With all our hearts and love through Jesus Christ!

Brothers and Sisters,
We greet you in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ.

We want to give you a quick idea about what’s going on here in our church in Lièvre. Our schedule for this month is this: we have a service Sunday morning and Sunday night, on Tuesday night , and we have Thursday night Bible study.

We have an open air service once a month and we also take every 4 days in each a month to train the ladies, youth, and children about the Bible.  We do take one day for each group.

Activities in Abricot- The Month of May

Here is a note from Pastor Yves Renous Mathurin letting you know of some activities going on in the church during the month of May so that you can be praying more specifically for the needs of your Sister Church.

This month we are going to have a conference with the subject “The patience of Christ.”

We are going to have a convention in the Toulejou Church May 26-27.  All the members of our 8 churches will be there for 2 days.  We will have a worship service, Bible study, and a little talk together on all the activities and plans we will have in the district.

Every Saturday afternoon we meet with more than 123 kids to talk to and teach them about the Bible. After 12 weeks they will receive a certificate of completion.  The children are very happy with this program.

Church activities are going very well.  We have service Sunday morning and Evening, Tuesday night Bible study, Thursday night youth meeting, and every Saturday we have meeting with the kids for May 18th , which is our Flag Day Celebration.

Please pray for Abricot because we have a division with 2 political parties running for Depute.  However, we know God can resolve the problem.  Please pray that our church will grow spiritually and that the members continue to grow and for the church to grow in unity.

We hope to hear from you very soon,
Your sister church that lives in “Abriko (Jeremi)”

Clean Water in Cherette

A well has been dug in Cherette.  It will give them fresh, clean water in abundant supply.  And its thanks to a generous gift from their Sister Church, Estero UMC in Estero, Florida.

Building a well in Haiti is a lot like building a well in the US.
